Common Tariff API

The io.openems.common.tariff.api project defines shared tariff interfaces used by OpenEMS Edge and Backend implementations. This bundle provides the contract for tariff providers, update status handling and spot-tariff access.

Core Interfaces

  • Tariff: Generic tariff interface that provides TariffData and update status. Always created by a TariffProvider or identical implementation as TariffProvider.

  • TariffProvider: Generic interface for a tariff provider. Used by other parts of the system to get all available tariffs. Has ranking and observable loaded-tariff information

  • TariffUpdateStatus: Sealed status model for successful updates and different failure types

  • SpotTariff / SpotTariffProvider: Specialization for spot-market based tariffs per bidding zone

HTTP Scheduling Helper

TariffDelayTimeProvider provides default retry/update delays for HTTP-based tariff fetchers, including:

  • immediate first execution

  • backoff on transient errors

  • infinite delay on unauthorized responses

  • daily refresh scheduling once future prices are available
